Fiber Solutions for Your Challenges
for better application characteristics and convincing performance.
Additives for rheology control are used for thickening, gelling, thixotropy, water retention or for sprayable and rinse-off-stable liquids. A further valuable property is the stabilization of suspensions against settling, floating and flocculation of insoluble particles.
JRS provides a broad portfolio of application-specific carriers for biological actives, biocides, repellents and fertilizers. These plant based carriers serve as a highly functional replacement for products on a synthetic or mineral basis.
Environmentally friendly products made from renewable raw materials offer a wide variety of different surfaces, pore volumes, grain sizes, cation exchange capacities and absorption-desorption rates.
Functional products to optimize disintegration and release of actives: Cellulose fibers mechanically treated in a special way give an "explosive effect" in tabs in the presence of water.
Plant fibers from different raw materials and with various particle structures are used purely or become part of compounds. They specifically improve the structure, texture, stability and other physical characteristics of dry mixes and their secondary solid products as well as liquid or pasty products.
In dry production processes, cellulose-based flowability agents ensure smooth processes. The special cubic particle structures have a minimum surface area and increase the free flow of bulk materials. As spacers and also by absorbing critical moisture, they prevent caking or bridging in the manufacturing process as well as clumping during storage of the end products.
The capillary effect of plant fibers guarantees a fast and persistent water uptake. In special substrates, they support the water management and assure a good plant availability. In gels and pastes, the water-storing cellulose derivatives prevent a fast dehydration and loss of consistency.
JRS produces the only FiBL-listed, plant fiber-based wetting agent. It is used for organic substrates and as a substitute for synthetic surfactants in conventional soils. The high efficiency allows operating quantities of 0.25% measured by the weight of substrate. Long-chained molecules provide a lasting effect for months unlike synthetic alternatives. The easy-to-use dry powder can also be prepared as dispersion and is completely harmless in terms of environment and human health.
Modified, fibrillated cellulose fibers are coated with a vegetable oil in a specific way. As an additive in manufacturing processes, premixes or end products, the anti-dust products bind dust and micro-particles. In this way, they improve health and safety at work, reduce material loss, cleaning time and cleaning effort in production.
Caking, incrustations or lump formation can be avoided by special JRS plant fibers. The cubic or round granules work as spacers, keeping the particles from sticking to each other. The second mechanism behind this effect is the absorption of a critical level of moisture that provokes the adhesion of the particles.
