At the invitation of Winfried Mack, CDU Member of Parliament, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut was on a joint information and discussion tour in the Ostalbkreis on 7 October 2020. One of the destinations was the headquarters of the globally active JRS, J. Rettenmaier&Söhne group of companies in Rosenberg-Holzmühle.
The sustainable and innovative JRS plant fiber technology was the focus of the discussions on the future topic of bio-economy using renewable, plant-based raw materials. Dr. Hoffmeister-Kraut and MdL Winfried Mack agreed that globally networked companies like JRS can make an important contribution to securing the future of the Ostalb business location in this field. It was important to the JRS management to promote further political support for the further development and implementation of this sustainable future technology, especially as a medium-sized company, in order to secure competitive conditions in international competition.
